Ralph Knoops is glad his knowledge doesn’t go to waste

When Nextview switched to Salesforce completely in 2018, he has already been working with SAP for 10 years. Ralph Knoops is faced with a choice: find a job elsewhere or go along with the development that lies ahead. He chose the latter. He had no regrets about it: “Salesforce has a gigantic learning environment. If you want, you can already start taking steps as a consultant today.”

Free learning environment
Ralph likes to see potential and to grow. And with Salesforce he gets exactly what he wishes for. “A lot is happening, so I’m never done learning. While working with SAP you were sent to a course when new developments occurred, or it was simply learning by doing. Salesforce on the other hand has a huge learning environment called Trailhead. All the content is free, so if you want, you can already take steps while being a SAP consultant.”

“We regularly accompany companies that make the switch from SAP to Salesforce. In that case, it’s important to know how to migrate properly.”

His experience as a SAP consultant still comes in handy. “For a Salesforce consultant, a background in SAP is an added value. You’ll have a different perspective of the processes. SAP is an incredibly large system. We regularly coach companies that make the switch from SAP to Salesforce. Then it is important to know how to migrate properly within an organisation. So the knowledge I gained with SAP will not be lost.”

Typically Nextview
Before Nextview made the switch from SAP to Salesforce, Ralph suffered a burnout due to various circumstances. “With the swap from SAP to Salesforce I was just slowly coming back to work. That was a nice new start, but also a little scary. I immediately had to learn all kinds of new things. Nextview handled that well: I was able to start working with great colleagues whom I knew well. Half a word is enough for them.”

“I find it very important to enjoy my work. Over the past 10 years, I have succeeded in doing just that.”

It’s typically Nextview, Ralph thinks. “I think it is very important to have fun at work. To work well with colleagues and also to work with the customer ‘as friends’. Over the past 10 years, I have succeeded in doing just that. That is why I am still here. When I’m on a project, I don’t just work with customers, but also with my colleagues.”

He also greatly appreciates Nextview’s social engagement. The B corp certification guarantees that Nextview meets the highest standards for corporate social responsibility. For example, the company is one of the founding partners of Maas Cleanup, which mobilises companies in Limburg to tackle litter. “Coming from Limburg where the river Maas flows, I think it’s really cool we are contributing and that we also use our own expertise for the cause.”
