Salesforce Summer '23 Release
Exploring the Salesforce Summer '23 Release for B2B Commerce
The Salesforce Summer '23 Release is bringing some great new features to B2B Commerce. Ana Kelly Campos, Senior Salesforce Consultant at Nextview, loves to explain all about it!
Commerce Setup Assistant
When setting up an org for Commerce there are many actions to take, which used to require a lot of time, besides having the risk that an important step could be forgotten.
But now with the Commerce Setup Assistant you can configure your org for Commerce with just a few clicks. The assistant will enable Commerce, set up org preferences such as order settings and state and country picklists, create and update layouts for Commerce related Objects, and even assign these layouts to the Commerce Business User Profile.
Setting up your Salesforce org for Commerce just became a lot easier.
Translations for Promotions
Now you can easily add translations to multiple languages for a promotion. You just need to navigate to the translations tab in the promotion record, and add translation for name, display name and terms & conditions in the desired languages.
This way you enable your store for global promotions and your buyers to understand the promotion details.
Salesforce Payments
Salesforce payments is not new, but now it’s generally available on the Salesforce platform, which means you no longer need a third-party payment provider or a managed package to quickly and seamlessly offer a variety of payment options at your online store.
It also opens up a lot of new functionalities, such as giving access to payments based on user roles and controlling which payment methods are accepted at checkout based on store location.
And last but not least, it allows customers to update their saved payment methods directly from their profile.
