Experience Builder components

Starting with the most favored, the new and improved Experience Builder components!
Now, tabs, visibility rules, and even bulleted or numbered lists can be added, greatly enhancing any Experience Cloud site.

Among the many examples include the addition of up to 5 horizontal or vertical tabs. This prevents a page from appearing overly crowded and reduces the need for customers to navigate through numerous site pages to locate the desired information.

A fantastic augmentation to this is the now broadly available expression-based visibility rules. Constructing component visibility is made easy via the Visibility tab in the property panel. Expressions for User or Profile fields can be added, thus escalating the versatility of the builds!

Additional features comprise the capability to incorporate a logo of view, an Experience Cloud site knowledge article via the new component, all tailored to enhance Experience Cloud sites further!

Custom domains

Following this are custom domains. Terminology like DNS and protocols might appear daunting. However, establishing a custom domain is simpler than ever with the newly provided guided information.

Words such as DNS, hostnames, and protocols may sound impressive but can also be intimidating when one isn't well-versed with the subject matter.

The domains setup page now boasts enhanced guidance to facilitate a deeper understanding of the steps necessary to establish a custom domain for Experience Cloud sites. Salesforce guides users through the process of setting up a custom domain with more comprehensive help texts, explanations on options, and step guides based on the status of the new domain or additional settings that can be made.

Enhanced Security

Finally, but most certainly not least are the new security enhancements. The issue of files floating around for too long, where they should have been decommissioned months earlier, is now a thing of the past thanks to file expiration dates and password-protected files.

Most people may already have experienced the problems of files lingering around for months on end when they should have been retired much earlier or files that couldn't be password protected. Such issues are now things of the past, as there's now the possibility to set an auto-generated password or manage the expiration date of a public link to an Experience Cloud file.

This does not only appear more professional, but it also saves a significant amount of work, decommissioning files over time, and constructing complex sharing configurations.

The Summer ‘23 release enables the blocking of emails from unverified email addresses by the guest user and also the disabling of standard Self-Registration components, thus providing even more flexibility in both the foreground and background of the sites.
